PKL 2025: Jaideep Dahiya set to continue as captain for Haryana Steelers; Rahul Sethpal named as vice-captain

Reigning champion Haryana Steelers announced its captain and vice-captain for the upcoming Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2025 on Monday, with Jaideep Dahiya set to continue as the skipper while Rahul Sethpal was named as his deputy.

Last season, the Steelers beat Patna Pirates 32-23 in the final to lift its maiden PKL title.

Speaking about the announcement, head coach Manpreet Singh said, “Kabaddi is a game that demands unity and quick decision-making, and both Jaideep and Rahul bring those qualities to the mat. Both have been essential to our success last season, on and off the mat. Their discipline, consistency and exceptional performances inspired the squad and set the benchmark on how we want to tackle this season. With new vigour and focus, we are back this season – we are confident to defend our title and lifting the trophy again”

The Haryana-based side topped the points table in the regular league stage in PKL 11 after winning 16 of its 22 matches, notching up 84 points and easily qualifying for the playoffs.
