India vs Pakistan in FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup — Arch-rivals drawn in same group


India and Pakistan have been drawn in the same group for the 2025 FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup, set to be held in Tamil Nadu later this year.

The draw, conducted at the International Hockey Federation’s headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, placed the arch-rivals in Group B alongside Chile and Switzerland

India, a two-time champion, last lifted the title nine years ago in Lucknow and has reached consecutive semifinals in recent editions.

Pakistan, on the other hand, won the inaugural edition of the tournament in 1979 but has not reached the semifinals since 1993, when it finished as runner-up.

The 14th edition of the Junior World Cup is scheduled to take place from November 28 to December 10 and will be hosted across Chennai and Madurai.
