IPL 2024 to start of March 22, as per BCCI plans
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) plans to start the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League from March 22.
Arun Dhumal, the governing council chairman of the IPL, told Sportstar that the schedule of the IPL could be announced in two halves – initially for the first fortnight, and the rest will be decided once the schedule for the general elections are announced.
“The plan is to start the tournament on March 22 in Chennai,” Dhumal said. Chennai Super Kings is the defending champion and will start its campaign at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium.
