Taiwan Athletics Open 2025: Rohit Yadav, Vithya Ramraj win gold, India’s gold medal tally rises to eight


India’s impressive run at the Taiwan Athletics Open 2025 continues as Rohit Yadav clinched gold in men’s javelin throw on the second day of the event on Sunday.

Rohit, a two-time National champion, started strongly with a throw of 71.46, which took him to second after the first round.

The 24-year-old climbed to the top spot with his second attempt of 74.25m and then threw 74.42m in his last attempt to mark his lead with the gold medal.

In the women’s 400m hurdles, Vithya Ramraj reigned supreme with a timing of 56:53, taking India’s gold medal tally to eight in the two-say athletics meet.

Meanwhile, Yashas Palaksha won silver in 400m men’s hurdles.
