PKL Auction 2025: Arjun Deshwal goes to Tamil Thalaivas for INR 1.405 crore

Indian raider Arjun Deshwal was bought for Rs. 1.405 crore by Tamil Thalaivas on Saturday during the Pro Kabaddi League Auction 2025 in Mumbai.

For his relentless raiding and superb accuracy, Arjun has been dubbed as the ‘Raid-machine’. The 25-year-old from Basea, Uttar Pradesh, was the MVP in season 9, when he took Jaipur Pink Panthers to their second PKL title.

With 1174 raid points from 114 matches, Deshwal has cemented himself as one of the iconic raiders in the league’s history. Despite scoring 230 points at a healthy average of 9.86 Panthers decided to release him ahead of the auction, which raised several eyebrows.

He joins another star raider, India captain Pawan Sehrawat, in the Thalaivas raiding unit, with Pawan being roped in for under INR 60 Lakh during the auction.
