Asian Athletics Championship 2025: Indian men’s 4x100m relay team disqualified in heats
The Indian men’s 4x100m relay team was disqualified during the heats on Friday at the Asian Athletics Championships in Gumi, South Korea.
The quartet of Manikanta Hoblidar, Amlan Borgohain, Rahul Kumar, and Pranav Gurav finished second, which is otherwise enough to book a spot in the final. However, the team was shown as DQ while the timings were being shown.
The official reason for the disqualification is unknown. It could be one of two reasons: lane violation or baton exchange outside the box.
