Asian Wrestling Championships: Antim marks international return with bronze, Manisha reached final
World Championships bronze medallist Antim Panghal marked her return to international competition by securing a bronze medal in women’s 53kg at the Asian Wrestling Championships in Amman, Jordan, on Friday.
Manisha also ensured another medal for India by reaching the 62kg final.
Featuring in her first competition after the Paris Olympics, Antim beat Chinese Jin Zhang 10-6 before being outclassed 10-0 by Japan’s 55kg World champion Moe Kiyooka.

In the bronze medal match, Antim trounced Chinese Taipei’s Meng Hsuan Hsieh 10-0.
Manisha got past Kazakhstan’s Tynys Dubek 11-0, Korea’s Hanbit Lee ‘by fall’ and Kyrgyzstan’s Kalmira Bilimbek 5-1 to set up a title clash with Ok Ju Kim of North Korea.
