Pro Kabaddi League 2024: Dabang Delhi seals PKL 11 playoffs spot, extends unbeaten streak to 13 matches
Dabang Delhi K.C. secured its spot in the PKL 11 playoffs with a dominant 47-25 victory over Bengal Warriorz at the Badminton Hall in Balewadi on Monday.
Ashu Malik led the charge with 17 points, extending Delhi’s unbeaten streak to 13 matches, equalling the record for the longest unbeaten streak in a single PKL season. This victory also made it the first team to reach the playoffs in six consecutive seasons.
While Bengal Warriorz, under Fazel Atrachali, managed some strong defensive moments, Ashu’s super raid in a do-or-die situation, eliminating four players, turned the tide in Delhi’s favour. With the first half ending 26-9, Delhi’s dominance continued into the second half, where it inflicted a second all-out on Bengal Warriorz.
Delhi finished with a commanding 22-point lead, eliminating Bengal Warriorz from the playoff race.
The other team that secured its playoff spot is Haryana Steelers after defeating Bengaluru Bulls 37-26.
