World Chess Championship 2024, Game 13: Ding Liren holds Gukesh to a draw; Series tied at 6.5-6.5 ahead of last round
The youngest World Championship challenger in the history of sport India’s D. Gukesh, tried everything to squeeze out a win against reining World Champion China’s Ding Liren but the Chinese GM brought out his best defensive play, holding Gukesh to a draw in the 13th game of the World Chess Championship 2024 at the Resort World Sentosa in Singapore on Wednesday.
The scoreline is tied at 6.5-6.5 after 13 rounds with just one more game remaining in this Championship

Gukesh started with e4 and Ding replied with e6 to play the French Defense game.
Earlier on Monday, Ding beat Gukesh with white pieces which helped him restore parity in the World Championship series.
Ding will have the white pieces for one last time on Thursday. If the championship is tied after 14 rounds, it will go to a shorter time format in the tie-break.
