Paris 2024 Olympics Medal Tally after Day 7: China maintains top spot; France climbs to second position in standings
China surged ahead of the pack in the Paris Olympics medal table by taking its gold-medal tally to 13 on Friday.
Host France climbed to the second spot in the standings with 11 gold medals. Australia sits third with as many golds.
The United States slipped to the fourth position, and is tied with Great Britain, which also has nine gold medals.
India, which won its third bronze medal on Thursday, was 47th as it failed to win a single medal on the seventh day of the competiton.

The 33rd edition of the Summer Olympics began on Friday and concludes on August 11.
The Paris Olympics feature 32 sports, including the 28 “core” disciplines, that include breaking, skateboarding, surfing and sports climbing.
